Music is one of the most beautiful gifts on this Earth, as it is the gift of expression: expressing feelings, emotions, ideas, moods, thoughts, experiences and the list goes on. In every class we celebrate the gift of music.
In Music For Young Children, children come together with their parents in a group setting to develop the happy habit of doing music. It is in this type of setting that all kinds of things are accomplished.
When I reflect on the year so far, one word instantly comes to mind: accomplishment. I think of all of the accomplishments, big and small, that have graced our studio over this past year. I think of the simplicity of an individual child struggling with a particular piece or concept one week, and returning to class the following week having mastered that previous struggle. This is a beautiful and simple accomplishment that teachers have the grace of witnessing on a regular basis. This accomplishment is never reached on one’s own, but rather through the support and attention of this child’s parents, music teacher, and peers in our unique classroom setting.
We hope to hear from you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. F
